Doing An Effective Car Wash Yourself

By Francine Balin

Most of the people love their automobile so much that not only do they want to keep it in the best condition but also glittering just like a new one, even after years of purchasing it. If you are one of them, you need to ensure that your car is not only properly cared for through regular servicing but also gets a regular car wash.

All it takes for a good self car wash is the right accessories and some easy to execute steps as discussed below. First, begin with a brisk hose down of your car to remove most of the dust and grime. Now begin soaping the roof with a good car wash shampoo.

It is recommended not to use the detergents from the kitchen, even if they work well with all your greasy utensils. They can result in abrasion of car wax and leave your vehicle devoid of its real lustre and shine. There are a lot of good car soaps available in the market, just make sure to pick a high quality one.

Make sure the sponge that you are using is fairly new and clean, otherwise you might just end up adding more grime on your vehicle than you take away from it. You should use micro fibre mitts to ensure that you don't wear away the sparkle with your rubbing.

Once you have washed the roof, go through the same process with the hood, the rear and sides in that order. When you are certain that you have soaped and scrubbed to your heart's content, use the water hose once again to wash off the vehicle thoroughly. After this, your vehicle still needs a little more to be done to gleam and shine again.

Leaving your car in the sun after just having cleaned it will cause water marks all over the body of the car. Therefore, you must use chamois leather to wipe it properly so that it shines with a new found lustre.

The outcome of your efforts is going to be a brilliant looking car and a lot of satisfaction from all the difficult work and results reaped.
